Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : 13.50

Given

A man purchased 35 kg of rice at the rate of Rs 9.50 per kg and 30 kg at the ate of Rs 10.50 per kg

Calculation

CP of variety 1 rice  = 9.5/kg

⇒ CP of 35 kg rice = 9.5 × 35 = Rs.332.5

CP of variety 2 rice = 10.5/kg

⇒ CP of 30 kg rice = 10.5 × 30 = Rs.315

According to question

CP after mixing both variety = (332.5 + 315)/(35 + 30)

⇒ Rs.9.96

⇒ SP after 35% profit = 9.96 × 135/100

⇒ Rs.13.50/ kg approx

∴ he should sell the mixture at Rs.13.5/kg to make 35 % profit
