Correct Answer - Option 3 : 256

Given:

The price of a chocolate in 2018 was Rs. 320.

The price decrease by 20% in 2019 due to low demand.

The price of another chocolate decrease by 40% from 2018 to 2019.

The ratio of the prices of two chocolates in the year 2019 is 5 : 3.

Formula used:

Profit or Gain = Selling price – Cost Price

Loss = Cost Price – Selling Price

Profit percentage = (Profit /Cost Price) × 100

Loss percentage = (Loss / Cost price) × 100

Calculation:

Let the price of 2nd chocolate in 2018 be x.

(320 × 4/5)/(x × 60%) = 5/3

⇒ 64 × 4 = 5/3 × x × 3/5

⇒ x = 256

∴ Price of second chocolate is Rs. 256
