Correct Answer - Option 2 : a-4, b-3, c-1, d-2

The Correct Answer is a-4, b-3, c-1, d-2.

  • A natural satellite, or moon, is, in the most common usage, an astronomical body that orbits a planet or minor planet (or sometimes another small Solar System body).
  • The Solar System's planets, and its most likely dwarf planets, are known to be orbited by at least 218 natural satellites, or moons.

Jupiter:

  • Jupiter is fifth in line from the Sun, Jupiter is, by far, the largest planet in the solar system.
  • Jupiter has a long history of surprising scientists—all the way back to 1610 when Galileo Galilei found the first moons beyond Earth.
  • That discovery changed the way we see the universe.

Saturn:

  • Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest in the Solar System.
  • After Jupiter, it is a gas giant with an average radius of about nine times that of Earth.

Uranus:

  • Uranus is known as the “sideways planet” because it rotates on its side.
  • Uranus was discovered in 1781 by William Herschel.
  • Uranus was the first planet found using a telescope.
  • Uranus is an Ice Giant planet and nearly four times larger than Earth.
  • Uranus has 27 known moons, most of which are named after literary characters.
  • Like Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune, Uranus is a ringed planet.

 Neptune:

  • Neptune is the eighth and most distant planet in our solar system.
  • More than 30 times as far from the Sun as Earth, Neptune is the only planet in our solar system not visible to the naked eye and the first predicted by mathematics before its discovery.
  • In 2011 Neptune completed its first 165-year orbit since its discovery in 1846.

Pluto:

  • Once considered the ninth and most distant planet from the sun, Pluto is now the largest known dwarf planet in the solar system.
  • It is also one of the largest known members of the Kuiper Belt, a shadowy zone beyond the orbit of Neptune thought to be populated by hundreds of thousands of rocky, icy bodies each larger than 62 miles (100 kilometers) across, along with 1 trillion or more comets.

Mars:

  • Mars is the fourth planet from the sun.
  • Befitting the Red Planet's bloody color, the Romans named it after their god of war.

Earth:

  • Our home planet is the third planet from the Sun, and the only place we know of so far that’s inhabited by living things.
  • While Earth is only the fifth largest planet in the solar system, it is the only world in our solar system with liquid water on the surface.

Venus:

  • Similar in size and structure to Earth, Venus has been called Earth's twin
  • Venus has a thick, toxic atmosphere filled with carbon dioxide and it’s perpetually shrouded in thick, yellowish clouds of mostly sulfuric acid that trap heat, causing a runaway greenhouse effect.

 Mercury:

  • The smallest planet in our solar system has a big presence in our collective imagination.
  • Television and film writers, too, have found the planet an ideal location for storytelling.
