Correct Answer - Option 1 : 105, 126, 168

Given:

A bag contains Rs.1, 50 paise and 25 paise coins in the ratio 5 : 6 : 8. If the total amount of money in the bag is Rs.210

Concept used:

Ratio and proportion

Calculation:

Let the number of coins of Rs.1, 50 paise and 25 paise be 5x, 6x and 8x

⇒ 5x × 1 + 6x × 1/2 + 8x × 1/4 = 210

⇒ 5x + 3x + 2x = 210

∴ x = 21

Rs.1 coins = 21 × 5 = 105

50 paise coins = 6 × 21 = 126

25 paise coins = 8 × 21 = 168

∴ The required answer will be 105, 126, 168.
