Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs.6720

Given:

Amount spent by Jyoti = Rs.15000

Solution:

Amount spent in painting and polishing = (30/100) × 15000 = Rs.4500

∴ Amount left = 15000 – 4500 = Rs.10,500

40% of the remaining in electric wiring

∴ Amount spent in electric wiring = (40/100) × 10,500 = Rs.4200

Amount left = 10,500 – 4200 = Rs.6300

60% of the remaining on granite flooring

∴ Amount spent on granite flooring = (60/100) × 6300 = 3780

The amount which she spent on buying miscellaneous material = 6300 - 3780 = 2520

∴ The sum of the amount she spent on electric wiring and buying miscellaneous materials = 4200 + 2520 = Rs.6720
