Let, speed of the boat = x = km/h and speed of stream = y km/h
According to the question,
⇒ (14/(x ─ y)) + (30/(x + y)) = 6
⇒ (42/(x ─ y)) + (90/(x + y)) = 18 …(1)
According to the question,
⇒ (24/(x ─ y)) + (18/(x + y)) = 7.5
⇒ (120/(x ─ y)) + (90(x + y)) = 37.5 ……(2)
From (2) – (1) we get,
⇒ 78/(x ─ y) = 19.5
⇒ x – y = 4 ……(3)
From (1) we get,
