Correct Answer - Option 2 : 16.8

Given

A man purchase 200 bananas at the rate of 12 per dozen

50 bananas was unfit and he sold remaining at 5% profit

Formula used

Profit = {(SP - CP) / CP} × 100

Calculation

Cost price of 1 dozen = Rs.12

⇒ Cost price of 1 banana  = Re.1

⇒ Cost price of 200 bananas = Rs.200

⇒ SP of 220 bananas = 200 × 105 / 100

⇒ Rs.210

⇒ 50 bananas were spoil remaining was 200 - 50 = 150

⇒ He should sell 1 banana = 210 / 150 = Rs.1.4

∴ He should sell the remaining bananas at (1.4 × 12) = Rs.16.8/dozen
