Correct Answer - Option 2 : 1,95,000 cm3

Given:

The water flows into a tank from a pipe at the rate of 650 cm2/min.

Height of tank = 10 cm

Concepts used:

Volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Calculation:

Flow of water into tank from pipe = 650 cm2/min

⇒ Area of base of tank = 650 cm2

Volume of tank = Area of tank × height

⇒ Volume of tank = 650 cm2 × 10 cm = 6,500 cm3

Tank filled in 1 min = 6,500 cm3

⇒ Tank filled in 30 minutes = 6,500 × 30 cm3 = 1,95,000 cm3

∴ Volume of tank filled in 30 minutes is 1,95,000 cm3
