Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 4000

Given:

Discount = 15%

S.P. of the tennis racket = Rs. 3400

Concept used:

S.P = M.P × (100 – D%)/100

Calculation:

S.P. of the tennis racket = Rs. 3400

Discount = 15%

Let the original price of the racket be x.

∴ Required equation:

⇒ x × (85/100) = 3400

⇒ x = 3400 × (100/85)

⇒ x = Rs. 4000

∴ The original price of the racket is Rs. 4,000.
