There are 360° of longitudes

  • The earth takes 24 hours to complete 1 rotation or 360° of longitudes.
  • This means that the earth covers 15° of longitudes every (1)hour.
  • (1 hour= 60minutes, divided by 15°/hour = 4 minutes per longitude).
