• The chief minister of Jharkhand Shri Raghubar Das started a yojana for widows which is known as Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojana on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar.
• At the time of the inauguration of the program, during the financial year 2016- 2017, a target of 11,000 houses per year had been set for the program and a budget of 80 crores was allotted.
• Addressing a program on this occasion, Mr. Das announced that an amount of Rs 75,000 would be granted to construct a house in districts of hilly terrains and Rs 70,000 in plains.
