Correct Answer - Option 3 : -19/11

Given

[(3y + 5)/(4y + 6)] = (1/5)

Calculation

[(3y + 5)/(4y + 6)] = (1/5)

⇒ 5(3y + 5) = 1(4y + 6)

⇒ 15y + 25 = 4y + 6

⇒ 15y - 4y = 6 - 25

⇒ 11y = - 19

⇒ y = - 19/11

∴ The value of y is (-19/11).
