From the figure find the current through 6 Ω, 12 Ω resistors and find the resultant resistance in the circuit and also find current in the circuit.

R1 =6 Ω; R2 = 12 Ω; V = 6 V

I1 = V/R1 = 6/6 = 1 A; I2 = V/R2 = 6/12 = 1/2 = 0.5A

Current in the circuit I = I1 + I2 

(Since resistors are connected in parallel) 

Resultant resistance in the circuit R
