Correct Answer - Option 3 : 40.25% Profit

Given:

Rajesh took 200 grams extra

Rajesh mixes 10% stones

Rajesh uses 20% higher weight

Discount = 15%

Formula Used:

Selling price = Marked price × (100 - discount%)/100

Profit = SP - CP

Profit % = (Profit/CP) × 100

Calculation:

Let the cost price of 1000 grams of Dal be Rs. 100

He bought only 800 grams

His cost price of Dal = Rs. (800/1000) × 100

⇒ Rs. 80

Impurity = 10%

Quantity of Dal = 1000 + 10% of 1000

⇒ 1100 grams

Weight shows 20% higher

Total quantity of Dal = 1100 + 20% of 1100

⇒ 1320 grams

Marked Price of 1320 grams Dal = Rs. 132

Discount = 15%

Selling Price = Marked price × (100 - discount%)/100

⇒ 132 × (100 - 15)/100

⇒ Rs. 112.20

Profit = SP - CP

⇒ 112.20 - 80

⇒ Rs. 32.20

Profit % = (Profit/CP) × 100

⇒ (32.20/80) × 100

⇒ 40.25%

∴ The profit percent of Rajesh is 40.25%.
