Correct Answer - Option 3 : Rs. 2000

Given:

The ratio of in which Rohan, Sohan and Mohan is distributed the money = 9 ∶ 8 ∶ 5

The share of Rohan Rs. 2000 less than that of total share of Sohan and Mohan

Calculations:

Let money distribution between Rohan, Sohan and Mohan be 9x, 8x and 5x respectively

Total share of Sohan and Mohan = 8x + 5x = 13x

Difference between total share of Sohan and Mohan to Share of Rohan = 13x – 9x = 4x

According to question,

⇒ 4x = 2000

⇒ x = 500

Share of Rohan = 500 × 9 = Rs. 4500

Share of Mohan = 500 × 5 = 2500

Difference between shares of Rohan and Mohan = 4500 – 2500 = Rs. 2000

The difference between shares of Rohan and Mohan is Rs. 2000
