Correct Answer - Option 1 : Raju still does not have enough amount to buy the handset.

Given :

Raju has Rs. 9000 with him and he wants to buy a mobile handset, but he finds that he has only 75% of the amount required to buy the handset. Therefore, he borrows Rs. 2000 from a friend.

Calculations :

Let the amount of handset be 'x' rupees

According to the question

9000 = 75% of x

⇒ x = 12000 rupees

Now Raju borrows 2000 rupees

Raju's total money = 9000 + 2000

⇒ 11000 rupees

It is clear that he still cannot buy the handset.

∴ The correct choice will be option 1.
