Let the age of Bali five years ago be 3x years, and

Let the age of Geeta five years ago be 4x years,

So, their present ages are (3x + 5) and (4x + 5), respectively.

Also, there ages 10 years hence will be (3x + 15) and (4x + 15), respectively.

According to the question, we have:

(3x + 15)/(4x + 15) = 6/7

On solving for x, we get:

x = 5 years

So, the required difference = 4x + 5 – (3x + 5) = 5

∴ The difference between their present ages is 5 years.
