Correct Answer - Option 1 : A

Given:

Ritesh, Gaurav and Jugnu invest in the ratio 2 : 5 : 7.

The ratio of their investment return percentage is 5 : 3 : 2.

Gaurav earns more than Rs 150 from Ritesh.

Calculation:

Let the Ritesh, Gaurav and Jugnu invest be  2x, 5x, 7x.

The ratio of their investment return percentage is 5 : 3 : 2.

The profit of Ritesh = 2x × 5/100 = 1/10x

The profit of Gaurav = 5x × 3/100 = 3/20x

The profit of Jugni = 7x × 2/100 = 7/50x

The ratio of Ritesh, Gaurav and Jugnu profit = 1/10x : 3/20x : 7/50x

The ratio of Ritesh, Gaurav and Jugnu profit =10 : 15 : 14

According to the question:

Gaurav earns more than Rs 150 from Ritesh.

Then, 15 - 10 = 150

⇒ 5 = 150

⇒ 1 = 30

The total income = 30 × 39 = 1170

∴ The total income is Rs.1170.
