  • Ellora, built by Rashtrakutas is located in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. 
  • It is one of the World Heritage Sites. It is well known for its monumental caves
  • 12 Buddhist (caves 1–12), 17 Hindu Caves (caves 13–29) and 5 Jain caves (caves 30–34).
