Correct Answer - Option 1 : 48

Concept:

Swept volume (Vs) of the cylinder is given by = \(\frac{π }{4}{{\rm{d}}^2}{\rm{l}}\)

where, d= diameter of the cylinder, l = length of the stroke

l = 2r where, r = radius of crank.

Calculation:

Given:

r = \(\frac{{60}}{{\rm{\pi }}}\;{\rm{mm}} = \frac{6}{{\rm{\pi }}}\;{\rm{cm}}\) , d = 40 mm = 4 cm

Vs = \(\frac{π }{4}{{\rm{d}}^2}{\rm{l}}\)

Vs = \(\frac{{\rm{\pi }}}{4} \times 4 \times 4 \times 2 \times \frac{6}{{\rm{\pi }}}\)

Vs = 48 cm3
