Classifying the boiler on the basis pressure we have: high-pressure and low-pressure boilers.

High pressure boiler

The boilers which produce steam at pressures of 80 bar or above.

Example: Babcock and Wilcox, Velox, Lamont, Benson boilers.

Low pressure boilers

The boilers which produce steam at pressures below 80.

Example: Cochran, Cornish, Lancashire and Locomotive boilers.
