Calculation:

From the table

Male population of above poverty line in state O = 1.7 

⇒ 4x = 1.7 

⇒ x = 1.7/4

So, Population above poverty line in state O

⇒ 7x = 7 × 1.7/4 = 2.975 

Total population in state O

⇒ (2.975/74) × 100 =  4.02 millions 

∴ Total population in state O is 4.02 million
