Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : x > y

Calculation:

From I,

x2 – 44x + 448 = 0

⇒ x2 – 28x – 16x + 448 = 0

⇒ x(x – 28) – 16(x – 28) = 0

⇒ (x – 16)(x – 28) = 0

Taking,

⇒ x – 16 = 0 or x – 28 = 0

⇒ x = 16 or x = 28

From II,

y2 – 28y + 195 = 0

⇒ y2 – 15y – 13y + 195 = 0

⇒ y(y – 15) – 13(y – 15) = 0

⇒ (y – 15) (y – 13) = 0

Taking,

⇒ y – 15 = 0 or y – 13 = 0

⇒ y = 15 or y = 13
