Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : x2 + 2x – 16

Given:

Sum of roots = (–2)

Product of roots = (–16)

Concept:

The equation is formed by

X2 – (Sum of roots)x + (Product of roots). Just put the values in here and the equation will be formed.

Calculation:

∵ The equation is given by [x2 – (Sum of roots)x + (Product of roots)]

⇒ x2 – (–2)x + (–16)

⇒ x2 + 2x – 16
