Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1.0 mm

Concept

As per IS 800-1984 clause 3.6.1.1,

In making a deduction for rivets less than or equal to 25 mm in diameter, the diameter of the hole shall be assumed to be 1.5 mm in excess of the nominal diameter of the rivet unless specified otherwise.

If the diameter of the rivet is greater than 25 mm, the diameter of the hole shall be assumed to be 2.0 mm in excess of the nominal diameter of the rivet unless specified otherwise.

Dia of holes in case of:

Rivet

Bolt

Upto 25mm diameter rivet:

 Bolt dia

(12 - 14) mm

(16 - 24) mm

>24 mm

Hole diameter = d + 1.5 mm

For rivet diameter > 25mm

Hole dia

Bolt dia + 1 mm

Bolt dia + 2 mm

Bolt dia + 3 mm

Hole diameter = d + 2mm

From the above table, it is clear that for bolt dia of 14 mm, dia of bolt hole is increased by 1 mm.
