In a conical tent, there is a sitting arrangement of 10 people. If each person requires a 6 m2 area and each person requires 30 m3 volume. Find the height of the conical tent?

Correct Answer - Option 2 : 15 m

Given:

Area required by each person = 6 m2

The volume required by each person = 30 m3

Formula used:

The volume of cone = (1/3)πr2h

Area of circle = πr2

Where,

r = radius of cone

h = height of the cone

Calculation:

The total volume required by 10 people

⇒ 30 × 10

⇒ 300 m3

The total area required by 10 people

⇒ 6 × 10

⇒ 60 m2

Area of the base circle of the cone

⇒ πr2 = 60

Volume of cone

⇒ (1/3)πr2h = 300

⇒ πr2h = 900

⇒ h = 900/60

⇒ h = 15 m

∴ The height of the conical tent is 15 m.
