Correct Answer - Option 4 : 3

Given:

5 families have 1 child

7 families have 2 children

8 families have 3 children

3 families have 4 children

Formula used:

The number which appears most often in a set of numbers is called mode

Calculation

⇒ 5 Families have 1 children = 5 × 1 = 5

⇒ 7 Families have 2 children = 7 × 2 = 14

⇒ 8 Families have 3 children = 8 × 3 = 24

⇒ 3 Families have 4 children = 3 × 4 = 12

∴ Frequency of 3 is more so mode is 3
