Correct Answer - Option 1 : Protons & Neutrons

Explanation:

  • In any atom proton, neutron and electrons are present. The mass of the atom is concentrated in the nucleus of the atom.
  • The nucleus contains proton and neutrons, and electrons are present in the different shell outside the nucleus.

So, Atomic mass (A) = Number of Neutron + Number of the proton.

A = N + P

Thus, The atomic weight of an atom is due to Protons & Neutrons.
