Let the bigger number be ‘x’.

The sum of two numbers = 58

∴ Smaller number = 58 – x

The difference of two numbers = 28

∴ x – (58 – x) = 28

x – 58 + x = 28

2x = 28 + 58 = 86

∴ x = \(\frac{86}2\) = 43

∴ Bigger number or one number = 43

Smaller number or second number = 58 – 43 = 15
