Given 54 : 27, 18 : 9 

a : b = 54 : 27. 

= 6 : 3 

So, a : b = 2 : 1 

c : d = 18 : 9 

also, c : d = 2 : 1 

If a : b = c : d, then a, b, c, d are in proportion. 

a : b = c : d = 2 : 1 

Therefore, 54: 27, 18 : 9 are in proportion.
