The second reaction occurs in presence of UV. Because O3 is first converted into O2 molecules and free O atoms with UV Rays. 1 free O atom combines with O2 molecule along with UV rays to form Ozone.O+O2 gives O3, not O2+O gives O3.

Hence, (2) is appropriate.
