Explanation:

bN = {bx/x  N} = the set of positive integer multiples of b 

cN = {cx/x  N} = the set of positive integer multiples of c 

 bn ∩ cN = the set of positive integer multiples of bc = bcN [ b and c are prime] Hence d = bc
