Correct option: (D) 8 m/S

Explanation:

Given is solid cylinder, rolls down without slipping.

for solid cylinder (k2 / R2) = (1/2) where k is radius of gyration also h = 4.8 m

V = [(2gh) / {1 + (k2 / R2)}]

[(2 × 10 × 4.8) / {1 + (1/2)}]

(48 × 2 × 2) / 3]

= 8 m/S
