India possesses cultural diversity being a subcontinent. Many people, who follow different religions, speak many languages, observe variety of customs and traditions and of different castes live in India. Diversity is observed (seen) in beauty, complexion, appearance, dress, food, lifestyle, etc. in people of India. Thus, though Indian civilization has multiple diversity, culturally, India is one, because even in extreme diversity of people there is a strong feeling of unity in them. Thus, unity in diversity is the main characteristic of Indian civilization.
