Correct option: (C) r1/2

Explanation:

angular momentum = mass × orbital velocity × radius

L = mVr

for earth,

L = ME ∙ Vo ∙ r

L = ME ∙ √[(GMS) / r] × r

where ME = mass of earth

MS = mass of sun

i.e  L = ME ∙ √[(GMS × r2) / r]

 L ∝ √r

i.e. L ∝ r1/2
