• Due to varied climate and physiography, many types of agriculture such as shift farming, plantation farming, horticulture, etc. is done.
• Also, several types of fruits, vegetables, flowers, corn, sunflower, cocoa, coffee, etc. are grown. -» Countries namely Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela and Ecuador produce 90% of the coffee of the world.
• Argentina and Brazil are leading producers of wheat and sugarcane respectively.

Minerals:

• Minerals such as manganese, copper, mineral oil, tin and coal are found in South America.
• Tin and mineral oil are found in maximum quantity.
• Venezuela produces 4.6% mineral oil of the world.
