You are provided with a test resistance R, a high resistance R1 and a small resistance R2 , two identical galvanometer G1 and G2 and a variable voltage source V. You are required to set up a circuit for the verification of ohm’s law. Which of the following would be a correct circuit?

Correct option is (3)

Here we have to use galvanometer G1 , with a high resistance in series, in place of the voltmeter. Similarly galvanometer G2 , with a parallel small resist once, takes the place of the ammeter. 

Hence the circuit diagram (3) is the correct circuit for the verification of ohm’s law.
