Given By = 2 x 10-7 sin (1.5×1011 t + 500x)T from this expression we obtain

When we compare the above given equation with By = B0 (ωt + kx)

Since the wave velocity (v) is along (-\(\hat{i}\)) and B is along \(\hat{j},\) E has to be along the positive z–axis (or along \(\hat{k})\)
