Difference between red and brown algae.

Red algae:

  1. It is a diverse category of algae that contains several red-colored seaweeds.
  2. Some types produce valuable products (agar, alginates) or are used as food (laver, dulse, carrageen).

Brown algae:

  1. Many seaweeds are part of a vast group of algae that are often olive-brown or greenish in color.
  2. They include xanthophyll as well as chlorophyll.
