Transfers:

  • It may lead to changes in duties and responsibilities, working condition etc., but not necessarily salary.

Promotions:

  1. Promotions involve shifting an employee to a higher position, carrying higher responsibilities, facilities, status and pay.
  2. This practice helps to improve the motivation and increases loyalty and satisfaction level of employees.
