Oxidation state of cu in [Cu(NH3)4]+2 = +2

Electronic configuration of cu = [Ar] 3d10 4s1

Electronic configuration of cu+2 =

Electronic configuration of cu in [Cu(NH3)4]+2 

due to influence of NH3 ligand unpaired Electron of d-orbital shift to p. orbit. so that, one d, one s and two p-orbital Hybridized and formed four dsp2 hybridized orbital. 

All four Hybridized orbital are in one plane, because of that [Cu(NH3)4]+2 has square planer geometry.
