If the amount of data is small then we can store it to our local hard disks. But now-a-days all technologies are growing rapidly and as a result the amount of data is also increasing So this amount of data can’t be stored in our local hard disks, we require extra disks. But the requirement of extra disks is also huge and requires lots of money to buy and lots of space to fit them. Here comes the role of cloud computing. An advantage of cloud computing is the reduction in hardware cost. Instead of purchasing in-house equipment, hardware needs are left to the vendor. All required things like storages, servers etc. are available virtually in case of cloud computing and we just need to pay for the services that we are using. So it is more cost effective than buying extra disks. Now handling the huge amount of data in local disks requires more time in terms of processing and sometimes the machine may crash. But in the case of cloud computing we just require a high speed internet to access and process the data. So we can conclude that storage of data is cost-effective and time saving in cloud computing.
