Define Argumentative : Represent literature research in high amount.

An argumentative essay typically requires a high amount of literature research. It needs thorough research for appropriate materials. Besides, sometimes the argumentative essays also need one to research through several methods like surveys, experiments, interviews, or observations.

Researching methodically enables the students to have a clear idea regarding the given topic. It also allows the students to understand every viewpoint related to the matter thoroughly. This allows the students to decide on a specific position and have the research evidence to support it. Irrespective of the kind or amount of research included, argumentative essays should always start an accurate thesis and have proper reasoning.

There should be a thesis statement that is clear, precise, and well-defined, which is included in the essay’s first paragraph. Besides the first paragraph, the students must give a thorough review of the topic to set the context. The author should also explain the importance of the topic in the next step. Finally, the thesis statement should be presented by the students. It is vital that the thesis statement is created, keeping the original instruction provided in the assignment. If this portion of the essay is not done carefully, it might become challenging for the student to create a persuasive essay.

The essay is usually linked together with the perfect usage of transitions. The essay’s argument is difficult to follow without the logical development of the thought process, which results in the collapsing structure of the essay. The idea from the earlier section is wrapped up or closed with the use of transitions. Besides, it must also be used to present the idea for the next section.

Every paragraph must be aimed at discussing a single idea. This helps in bringing better clarity and flow to the essay. Besides, following this process makes the essay a lot easier and simpler for one to read. It is crucial to understand that every paragraph must have a logical link with the beginning paragraph’s thesis statement.

Although argumentative essays must also keep several other viewpoints of the topic and explain it thoroughly, based on the assignment length, one or two paragraphs of an argumentative essay must be given by the students to shed light on the contradictory views on the theme. Instead of stating directly that the opposing views and opinions are false, students must know that some opinions that do not follow up with their thesis might not be well-versed or outdated. The argumentative essay needs useful research, precision, well-defined, and updated or latest data to support the thesis statement. It also requires the students to consider the other viewpoints.

Besides, several successful and popular argumentative essays contain different views or opinions that do not align with the thesis. It is not the student’s role to prove the opposition’s false statements but to describe how other positions might not be appropriately informed or may not be updated with the topic. It is crucial to add a conclusion that does not state the thesis again but describes the evidence.
