Mathematics Day : To the celebration of the subject mathematics.
Mathematics day refers to the celebration of the subject mathematics for which life has become so easy for people. Two days celebrate the existence of the subject maths.
First is the World Mathematics Day, which is an online maths competition which was first held on 14th March 2007. Students and maths lover from all over the world participate in this competition to win. The top ten rank holders of this competition are awarded gold medals and certificates.
On the other hand, in India, National Mathematics Day is celebrated in honour of Srinivasa Ramanujan. He was a remarkable mathematician of India. S. contributions to the field of mathematics are impressive. Thus, to commemorate his birth anniversary, Indians celebrate 22nd December as the National Mathematics Day.
Both these days are celebrated to encourage more practice of maths among the students. The majority of the students are afraid of maths, but that should not be the case.
