When conc. HCl is added to flask containing Zn granules, zinc chloride is formed.

Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + H2

Effervescence of H2 gas will be observed in this reaction.

As the reaction is exothermic reaction, temperature of the flask will increase which can be felt by touching.
