The main function of Sertoli cells is to nurture developing sperm cells through the stages of spermatogonia. it also act as phagocytes, consuming residual cytoplasm from the process of spermiogenesis while the main function of leydig cells is to produce and secrete, and organs inducing wolffian duct development into male urogenital structures
