Finding the square of the given number

We can find the square of 109 by applying the identity (a + b)2 = a2 + 2ab + b2

Now, 109 can be written as 100 + 9.

On applying the identity, we get,

109= (100 + 9)2

= (100)2 + 2(100)(9) + (9)2

= 10000 + 1800 + 81

= 11881

Hence, using an identity, the square of 109 is 11881.
