The PV curve shown in diagram consists of two isothermal & two adiabatic curves. Then

curve shown

(1) \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= \frac{V_b}{V_c}\)

(2) \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= \frac{V_b}{V_c}^{-1}\)

(3) \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= (\frac{V_c}{V_b})^2\)

(4) \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= \frac{V_c}{V_b}\)

Correct Answer is (1) \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= \frac{V_b}{V_c}\)

\(T_a= T_b,T_c= T_b\)

adiabatic curves

\(\therefore \)  \(\frac{V_a}{V_d}= \frac{V_b}{V_c}\)
