Best answer

Correct option is (D) +7

\(H\overset{\bullet}{Cl}O_4\)

Let, x be the oxidation state of chlorine in perchloric acid.

\(1 + x + (-2 ) \times 4 = 0\)

\(\Rightarrow x = 8 - 1 = +7\)
