Cluster: A logical grouping of container instances that you manage.
Task Definition: A blueprint for your application consisting of one or more Docker containers, parameters for how to run each container, and how the containers interact.
Task: An instantiation of a Task Definition running on a container instance within your cluster.
Service: A running application or microservice within your cluster, which manages the desired number of tasks simultaneously.
